Rose Hall enrolls children of varying abilities and works hard to help each child be successful in the classroom. The Montessori curriculum supports many different learning styles and abilities so that children can progress cognitively, socially, and emotionally at their own pace.
As Early Childhood educators, it is our professional responsibility to be aware of developmental timelines and to observe each child’s developmental progress. When a child demonstrates cognitive, social, or emotional challenges, our teachers and the Director, will consult with the family and work to form a partnership in taking further action.
This partnership will help determine if our program is the right environment to meet the child’s developmental and educational needs and determine if we have the staff available to support the child within our existing program. Often our teachers will consult with appropriate outside resources for screening and advice.
When determining the level of support that we can provide to any child, we are committed to evaluating the needs of the individual child in relation to the needs of the entire class. In the unlikely event that enrollment or continued participation in Rose Hall is deemed inappropriate or not in the child’s best interest, we will work with the family to find an alternative placement.
